We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our chairman of the board.
Prof. Dirk W. van Bekkum
30 July 1925 – 17 July 2015
Dick set up the Cinderella Therapeutics Foundation in 2009 and was its inspiring leader from the very beginning. He was convinced of making a valuable contribution to health care by focusing specifically on the needs of patients. Developing ‘stepchild’ drugs and therapies, outside the sphere of interest of mainstream industry, is the aim of the foundation to which Dick devoted himself with great enthusiasm and in his characteristically original, creative and tenacious manner.
He will be sorely missed by us all.
